Technical Summary
Material100% expanded cork (ICB) and granules — agglomerated with natural resin
DensityICB ≈ 100–120 kg/m³ (REV ≈ 140–160 kg/m³); Granules ≈ 65–80 kg/m³
Thermal conductivity λICB ≈ 0.037–0.040 W/m·K; Granules ≈ 0.045–0.050 W/m·K
Vapor diffusion μICB ≈ 7–14 (vapor permeable)
Compressive stress at 10%ICB ≥ 100 kPa (depending on product type)
Reaction to fireEuroclass E (system build-ups can achieve different classes)
Service temperature~ −180 °C … +120 °C (depending on detail)
NotesDimensions/thickness and standards vary by project and product family.

Acoustic examples

  • For 50 mm ICB, typical reverberation reduction around 500 Hz: α ≈ 0.40
  • Floating floor: noticeable impact sound reduction with granule-lightweight screed.

Lightweight concrete/screed example

14 cm concrete + 7 cm granule lightweight concrete + 4 cm screed → Ln,r,w ≈ 62 dB (sample system).

* Values are typical; final performance depends on project, granule size, placement/mix density and details. Approved system sections are available on request.
