Expanded Cork Board (ICB)
Elastic, vapor permeable and durable insulation boards. Thermal/acoustic/vibration performance in roofs, walls, floors and cold storage.
Lusano Cork is the authorized distributor of Isocor in Türkiye, supplying ICB boards and expanded cork granules that combine thermal, acoustic and vibration performance in one natural material.
Cork is harvested from the bark of the cork oak (Quercus Suber L.) every nine years without harming the tree. It’s light, elastic, durable, and impermeable to liquids and gases, delivering long-lasting thermal, acoustic and vibration performance. Most production comes from Portugal and the broader Mediterranean basin.
The first harvest happens when the tree is about 25–30 years old (June–August). After the initial “virgin cork”, subsequent harvests occur every nine years — a sustainable cycle that protects the tree.
Cork oak ecosystems regulate water, reduce erosion and act as carbon sinks. They are vital habitats for emblematic Mediterranean species such as the Iberian lynx, imperial eagle and black stork.
Thanks to its chemistry (≈45% suberin, ≈27% lignin, etc.) and honeycomb-like cell structure, cork is light, compressible and elastic; it resists flame spread, abrasion, and offers excellent thermal/acoustic/vibration insulation.
Sustainability: Natural, binder-free production — ICB −450 kg CO₂/m³

ICB boards and cork granules — a single natural family for diverse needs.
Elastic, vapor permeable and durable insulation boards. Thermal/acoustic/vibration performance in roofs, walls, floors and cold storage.
Lightweight infill for under-screed, light concrete/screed and acoustic correction — adding thermal and acoustic performance.
Cork-based solution families tailored to your needs.
Sound insulation: studios, offices, mechanical rooms. Rooms & ceilings: decorative acoustic panels to reduce reverberation.
Thermal insulation: walls, roofs, façades, ceilings and floors. Suitable for passive houses and green buildings.
Elastic layers that reduce transmission of vibration and impact for machines and floors.
Cold rooms and storage — freezing and conservation applications.
Radiant floor/wall systems and renovation panels. Exterior façades (ETICS) — mechanical or adhesive fixing.
